We love movie festivals, and that’s why we were the coffee of choice for the Italian Pavilion at the 70th Berlin Film Festival! Here’s the 2020 Berlinale from our perspective.
Authentic Italian coffee in Berlin
Berlinale 2020 has been emotionally intense and full of strong stories and sensations. They awarded the Golden Bear to “There is no evil”: a touching movie by Director Rasoulof. Unfortunately he was not able to participate in person due to covid-19 traveling restriction.
This great edition has been the first to see Carlo Chatrian and Mariette Rissenbeek at the direction, after two decades with the heading of Dietere Kosslick. Here’s the illustrious names of some of the judges: Jeremy Irons, Berenice Bejo, Kenneth Lonergan and Luca Martinelli
Italian movies have been awarded as well.
As you might know, Caffè Aiello is a regular at the Venice Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival. Nothing makes us prouder than the Italian movie industry being rewarded.
The coffee break at the Italian Pavilion
Artists, movie stars and film professionals had the chance to take a coffee break with a real Italian espresso by Caffè Aiello. The Italian Pavilion was located in the European Film Market area, in the Gropius Bau.
The space we were in had clearly draw its inspiration from Federico Fellini, offering an enchanting environment, decorated with amazing paintings such as a brush-like element among the clouds.
Berlin Film Festival 2020: Italy was there
Our amazing movie industry has been rewarded at the 2020 Berlinale.
Elio Hermano was recognized as the best actor in his interpretation of painter Antonio Ligabue in “Volevo Nascondermi” by Giorgio Diritti. He was given the Silver Bear. Elio wanted to dedicate its success to all the “outcasts, eccentrics, outsiders and weirdos” our there.
A Silver Bear was awarded to Damiano and Fabio d’Innocenzo thanks to “Favolacce”. Just as Claudio Giovannesi, in the same category was awarded the year before, with “La paranza dei bambini”.
This passion and these successes make us prouder and prouder of being the official coffee of so many Cinema events, and we are in for many more of those.
