Breakfast in bed is an all-time favorite for everyone. Here’s 3 suggestions to make it perfect!
Lingering in bed for a little longer than usual it’s so relaxing and it helps you to wake up slowly and take on the day with a clear mind. If you add breakfast (in bed) to it, it’s just perfection.
Most of us are forced to have a fast-paced routine every day, and it’s hard to make space in it for a breakfast in bed. But maybe on a slow Sunday or during vacations, you can find the time to enjoy it. So, if it’s just once in a while, it has to be done perfectly! Not only for yourself, breakfast in bed might be a nice surprise for your loved ones, and you can also slip a cute note under their mug to give them the first smile of the day!
The breakfast in bed set up
As in all the most beautiful things, the main element to keep in mind is to keep it simple. Preparation needs to be fast and easy, in order to get our breakfast in bed still fresh and hot beverage still…well, hot. Also, do not include crumbly food, if you don’t want to clean up the bed and loose all the relaxation your breakfast in bed gave you.
For the sweet tooth
If you prefer sweet, this is for you. And it’s probably the best choice if you are looking for a sweet surprise for your loved one. Here a few of the classic ones: toast with jam, pancakes with maple syrup, waffles and berries, a plain croissant…or, if you got creative the day before, maybe a slice of that home-made Bundt cake!
For the beverages, a foamy cappuccino or a home-made coffee cream!
If you prefer savory flavors
If savory it’s your thing, you might have a classic American breakfast: toasts, scramble eggs and bacon. If you don’t like to start your day with too strong tastes, you might opt for an avocado toast instead.
Fruits are always a great addition to a breakfast, even to a savoury one, as well as fresh juices. Don’t forget about the American coffee as well, or a latte maybe!
For the healthier option
Nothing better than a healthy breakfast, in this case, in bed. In the morning you need energies, but you also need to stay light. Nothing better than granola and yogurt, plus a few fresh fruits or a fruit salad. With that, try a freshly made smoothie and a matcha latte cappuccino!
